After leaving behind the number 9 shirt at Napoli, Simone Verdi will wear the number 24 shirt at his new club, Torino, which was held by Emiliano Moretti last season. The coveted number 9 shirt is currently held in Turin by captain Andrea Belotti.
Keeper Samir Ujkani, who joined the Granata as a free agent, will wear the number 18, despite the number 1 jersey being free. The number 18 jersey is usually used by forwards but the club has agreed to his request.
