We round up the latest Liverpool news and transfer rumours on Wednesday, as two differing Rafa Camacho stories emerge.
Contrasting Camacho Reports
It’s common knowledge that Rafa Camacho will leave Liverpool this summer, having failed to agree a new deal at the club.
German publication Kicker are claiming the 19-year-old has agreed to join Schalke, who are managed by Jurgen Klopp‘s great friend David Wagner.
There is no mention of any potential fee for Camacho, or the length of the contract, but it is stated that the Bundesliga club are “unclear” which position he will be used in.
The Portuguese often showcased his versatility for Liverpool’s U23s, proving to be adept as a right-back or a winger.
Meanwhile, Record, via Sport Witness, believe Camacho will return to former club Sporting CP.
A five-year contract will supposedly be signed by the teenager, who is expected to join for less than the original €10 million wanted by Liverpool – either €5 million or €6 million.
Most importantly, the Reds have demanded they earn 20 percent of any future transfer fees, and have a buy-back option, should they wish to re-sign Camacho.

Klopp Believes Squad is ‘Complete’
Here’s a story to send transfer-loving Liverpool supporters into meltdown.
Many are desperate to see the Reds add plenty of new faces this summer, cementing their place as one of Europe’s top two sides.
Klopp apparently has other ideas, however, with Bleacher Report saying sources close to the club believe he feels his squad is ‘complete’.
The report states that “John W. Henry has promised to back Klopp in the transfer window this summer, but the reality is the Liverpool boss does not want to spend much cash”.
In that case, this isn’t even a story that the ‘FSG Out’ brigade can get pent-up about!
While a few signings will likely be confirmed in the next couple of months, it appears as though a big-money purchase will not necessarily arrive.
If this strategy is applied this summer, only time will tell if it was the right call.
Lovren to Milan Talk Cools
Dejan Lovren was recently linked with a summer transfer to AC Milan, following an injury-plagued season with Liverpool.
Those rumours have been quashed by Calciomercato journalist Fabrizio Romano, however, who believes Stuttgart centre-back Ozan Kabak is a “cheap alternative”.
Milan legend Paolo Maldini admires Kabak and wants to meet with his representatives, which is the definition of a ringing endorsement.
Liverpool are believed to be willing to let Lovren leave for £25 million, should such an offer come along.
Henderson Delays Freedom of City Honour
Jordan Henderson has been granted the Freedom of the City of Sunderland, as revealed after Liverpool’s Champions League-winning exploits earlier this month.
The 29-year-old became just the fifth Liverpool captain to lift the European Cup and his efforts have been recognised by his hometown.
According to the Sunderland Echo, Henderson has decided against accepting the honour during his playing days, delaying it until he eventually retires.
Speaking about the decision, deputy council leader Michael Mordey said:
“I’m very pleased to say that in communication with Sunderland-born Jordan Henderson, he has said that he would be proud to accept the freedom of his home city at some point in the future.
“For now, Jordan has his sights firmly set on what he wants to achieve on the football pitch for both his club and the England team.
“For all that he has helped achieve in the past year and his esteemed career in football to date, including support and encouragement given to others, he considers that he is nearer to the start of a journey than the end.
“As such, he is greatly honoured by our proposal to make him a freeman of Sunderland.
“But he has asked if we can revisit it in the future when he is perhaps closer to the end of his playing career and has contributed to many more domestic and international footballing successes, as he undoubtedly will.”
Fluminense Tie Up Allan Deal
Globo Esporte have confirmed that Allan Rodrigues de Souza will stay at Fluminense until December – the end of the Brazilian season.
The 22-year-old returned to his homeland earlier this year, joining Fluminense on loan after a stint at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Allan has experienced UK work permit issues, putting to bed any chance of him breaking through at Liverpool any time soon.
He joined the Reds from Internacional in the summer of 2015, costing approximately £500,000.
Reds Supporters’ Love For Lucas
Lucas Leiva is remembered fondly by many Liverpool supporters, recovering from a poor start at the club to eventually spend a decade at Anfield.
Reds fans have continued to show their support for the 32-year-old, with an online vote seeing him win Lazio’s Player of the Year award for a second season running.

Having earned 71 percent of the votes in 2017/18, the Brazilian hilariously got 94 percent this time around, showcasing the power of Liverpool’s fanbase worldwide.
Perhaps Lucas really has been that good for Lazio, but we’re guessing there’s a bit more to it.
