New signing Edoardo Goldaniga had this to say about his recent move to Genoa as he spoke to Secolo XIX (via Calciomercato.com): ‘I always wanted to play for Genoa. I could’ve stayed on with Sassuolo but I wanted Genoa, it was in my faith….’. Goldaniga’s grandfather played for Genoa in the past and his current girlfriend is ex-Genoa star Alessio Cerci’s sister.
