That was quickly dismissed by fans on social media, given the saga stemming from the striker losing his captaincy, but he used his Instagram story to show he was receiving treatment.
It now remains to be seen whether he will be included in the Nerazzurri’s squad to face Sampdoria in Serie A this weekend, having pulled out of the trip to Rapid Vienna.
