According to what has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, Inter Milan’s reported move for Roma forward Edin Dzeko is in no way tied to the future of Argentine forward Mauro Icardi.
Dzeko has been an Inter target since last summer, with the Nerazzurri eager to add the Bosnian to their roster; depleting Roma’s squad whilst strengthening their own.
However, as mentioned, Dzeko’s future is not reliant on Icardi leaving Inter. In fact, the two forwards could line-up alongside one another in the Inter front line next season. Dzeko’s arrival is looking more and more likely by the day and there is a chance that Inter’s attack will be lined with stars come September.
