Fiorentina summer signing Bobby Duncan reportedly turned down a possible switch to Manchester United before moving to Fiorentina on deadline day.

Ducan was one of the three deadline day signings that the La Viola completed on the 2nd of September. Leicester’s Rachid Ghezzal was signed on loan, while they also signed Brazilian striker Pedro.

Daily Mail in England claim that ties with Liverpool were the reason why Duncan turned down United. An Italian agent told the newspaper that he didn’t want to ‘betray’ Liverpool by joining their fierce English rivals.
