Napoli defender Kevin Malcuit has expressed his sadness at the backpass that led to Alex Meret’s red card against Juventus.
Malcuit published a sad ‘emoji’ on his Instagram story after Napoli’s 2-1 defeat to Juve last night.
The 27-year-old gifted the Bianconeri the opening goal from the penalty spot as his pass back to Meret was intercepted by Cristiano Ronaldo.
That forced the goalkeeper to take down Ronaldo out of desperation and leave the Partenopei a man down just 25 minutes in.
The Frenchman was replaced by Dries Mertens at half-time, while the Old Lady moved 16 points clear of Napoli at the top of Serie A.
