Napoli beat Cagliari 2 – 1 tonight thanks to goals from Dries Mertens and Lorenzo Insigne after Leonardo Pavoletti opened the scoring.
 
The result has no impact on the table though as Napoli remain in second, while the defeat means the Sardinians have missed the opportunity to leapfrog Sassuolo and Spal into 10^th.
