Man Utd’s injury crisis worsens with Sanchez absence revealed

Date published: Monday 4th March 2019 2:14

Manchester United’s injury crisis has deepened with the news that Alexis Sanchez has been ruled out four up to two months.

The Chilean attacker was withdrawn early in the second half during United’s 3-2 win over Southampton.

According to The Telegraph, Sanchez underwent scans on a knee injury which showed sufficient ligament damage to keep him on the sidelines until the end of April.

Sanchez could miss around nine matches, starting with Wednesday’s Champions League trip to PSG.

The 30-year-old joins Anthony Martial, Jesse Lingard, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic on the sidelines in Paris, with Paul Pogba also suspended.
