Roma star Stephan El Shaarawy has withdrawn from the Italian national team due to injury.
Italy have returned to training following yesterday’s 2-0 win over Finland, as the second game against Liechtenstein on Tuesday beckons. While Roberto Mancini has already lost Federico Chiesa and Alessandro Florenzi to injury, El Shaarawy too has withdrawn.
The Roma man has sustained a calf injury and has returned to Rome. Cristiano Piccini is also returning to Valencia.
